We fancied a bit of a walk today - and several people had said 'oh you must go to Perugia for the Percorso Verde' or Green Walk. And so it was, 20 mins in the car, and we arrived at the Piazza Umbria Jazz, which is opposite the stadium for FC Perugia. Apparently they are Seria B. I have no idea what that means.. (I can guess it is Championship, rather than Premiership).
It's a lovely area, laid out near the 'Citta di Domenica' or Sunday City..a 5km route, full of runners, walkers, strollers and sitters. What is especially charming is how each sport has its own area - volley ball, skateboarding, rugby, archery, ...all lined up pitch by pitch. We came across a cycle track, quite old-school, very much in the style of a Roman arena. You can see the group of 'experts' offering their opinions...
