Romanesco Broccoli


I have not seen these beautiful vegetables before - other than in 'miniature' examples in Waitrose. Here they are in their full-sized glory. We ate one, cubed, roasted with oil, chilli and garlic as a side dish, and the other in smaller pieces, in a bowl of pasta. They have a strong, firm, meaty flavour.

Absolutely lovely.

(ps the Negroni was also very nice....)
