We have been in Italy at Easter many times before - usually there is a procession on a Friday, a lunch out on the Sunday, and a visit to a town for Pasquetta, Easter Monday, a real day out for most Italians.
This year was going to be different. One thing making it so much better was our nearby restaurant, La Locanda del Tramonto Infinito, which delivered to us a marvellous 3-course lunch. We dressed up, it was warm enough to have lunch outside on the terrace, and we marvelled at the utter silence of Papiano and Umbria.
Here's the lunch delivery box - mixed antipasti, lasagna, and lamb and rosemary potatoes. As you can see, when I order it often gets written down as 'Jhon' for reasons I really don't understand. We also bought a wine, though I had something else up my sleeve for lunch..
..an opportunity to try out a fabulous Rioja from Muga..the sensational Prado Enea Gran Reserva 2006. With lamb..perfect!
