CUP registration...

The time came to face into registering for a Medico di Base, similar perhaps to your family doctor or GP (in the UK). We had received our Tessera Sanitaria, so we had at least got a code (always important to have a piece of plastic with a scannable barcode, that goes a long way) and so it was that I came to this door at the local hospital to obtain a list of doctors and make a choice.

The usual ticket system was in place, and as I waited my turn, I reflected on the dozens of notices on the door, some I could understand, some I could not.

And finally my turn arrived..I entered cautiously, and there were two ladies at two counters (with all the usual Covid protection measures.) I requested a list of doctors, which I thought was the correct next steps, though it turns out that the list was on the table outside the door!

The list of course was not that useful - and was easily available on a webpage as well - doh!

Off next then to choose a medico, then return to the CUP to register that! Which took a few weeks more..
