Early November, and it is time to start the harvest. As we only have 15 medium sized trees, it is a day's work for 2 people. We were blessed with a glorious day for this, a lovey warming sun, but not too hot. As you can see, Clara is also 'helping'.
Our appointment at the mill is tomorrow, where we will mix our olives with another English couple in the village (they have nearly 80 trees, so a lot more) in order to make the minimum 300kg+
The finished result - from the combined 420kg, around 41 litres, of which we had 10.5litres
And the final part - the tradition - new oil on bruschetta, fresh bread and oil that is not even 6 hours old!
